United States withdraws troops from Europe

Saturday, June 30th, 2012

Recently, the United States government and the combined board of military leaders(allied) has announced that U.S troops ,who have been in Europe for 80 something years now, will be withdrawn back to the states. There are currently about 80,000 United States troops in Europe. The government has predicted that having this many men in stable countries would simply be “too costly” to uphold. In addition to costs, most of the troops stationed in Europe end up being moved to the Middle East or Asia anyways, so keeping them there at the moment seems to be completely useless.  As of July 1st, an estimated 7000 troops will be withdrawn. The US will then reposition them in parts of Asia, South America and Africa where they “are needed”. The other 70k will eventually also be moved. although no known deadline for this move exists, we will keep you updated on this story as it continues to propagate.

Will the end of the world simply be the end of mexico?

Monday, June 25th, 2012

So, as you may all know, near the end of the year two thousand and twelve of our lord, the world will be destroyed and recreated again. We are not talking about Nostradamus (because his account places it years after 2012) , we are talking about the Mayan prophesy. Yes, the thousand year old doomsday calender that somehow ends near the end of this year!

2012 doomsday predictions

Lets just say that the Maya people predicted everything correctly, we can confirm that they have marked out constellations and geographical shifts/events to the preciseness of one day. Scientists are baffled at the accuracy of this calender, and It really stuns us the more we personally read about it.

So, lets say that because it simply ends near the end of 2012, the world will be destroyed (and the guy writing the calender didn’t just get lazy and sleep on the job). But this raises a VERY intrusting question: What is the world to the Maya?

The background evidence shows us that when Spanish Conquistadors entered the Maya empire in 1511 A.D, the Maya did not anticipate them. It’s also quite evident that less than one thousand men of the Spanish crown brought down a multi-million man empire.

Why is this so significant? Well, simply because this proves that the Maya did not have the bloodiest clue about the rest of the world (conspiracy theorists argue that Maya people actually did and educated the Chinese blah blah). So, lets continue on the note that the Maya are right and the world will end -their world-.

Maya Map

A rough estimate of where the Maya empire was

So as mentioned before, their world is their empire right? And their[the Mayan] calender was specific for their empire (or so the facts would tell us). So, does that mean that Mexico , Guatemala and other central American countries might be the only ones destroyed? It’s a very silly thing to think about, but , think about it. After all, if they did not know of the Europeans, how could they predict the fate of the entire world?

Turkish plane shot over Syrian air space causes growing tension

Sunday, June 24th, 2012

Early this morning, a Turkish phantom jet was shot down over Turkish air space. This simply seems to create more tension between Syria and the rest of the world. Syria claims that all proper security cautions where taken (a signal given) prior to anti aircraft artillery striking the plane down. Worryingly enough, Turkey condemns the act of violence as an act of belligerence towards the two “politically different” middle eastern countries. There will be a NATO meeting in Brussels within the next week to discuss the matter, in the meantime Turkey has withdrawn all of it’s diplomats from Syria claiming their lives could be “jeopardized”.

The disadvantages of using nuclear technology

Saturday, June 23rd, 2012

On a fateful day near the end of the greatest war the world has ever seen, something new arose. This new system could create virtually unlimited amounts of energy from virtually nothing. This was the dawn of the nuclear era.

Nobody in the early 1900′s could have possibly imagined that people would be breaking apart sub molecular particles and using them to destroy cities on  a widespread note. But, by some miraculous chance (as fate would have it) , the impossible and unimaginable became reality.

In today’s hyped up and modern world, you may believe that nuclear energy doesn’t concern you, you may even believe that nuclear energy is not around you, but rather that it is hidden somewhere far away in the deserts of Arizona.  You would ,unfortunately, be DEAD wrong. 20% of this entire country’s power is generated at one of our 63 running nuclear reactors. These stretch from California to Maine, leaving virtually no state safe in case of a nuclear “chain reaction”.

Lets go over the benefits of nuclear energy

*Somewhat Safe if contained properly

*Emits practically no “green house gasses”

*One nuclear facility can power all of LA (the largest city in this country power usage wise)

Now lets look at the cons of nuclear power

* Most power plants run on uranium ( a very unstable nuclear isotope)

* Nuclear power plants need a secondary power source in case of a blackout to keep the water “coolers” working (failure to do this results in another Chernobyl)

* Nuclear Energy, when released has the power to pwn an entire city. There is no doubt that anything in it’s way will be sent back to the stone age.

Now lets discuss something called a “Nuclear Chain Reaction” . A nuclear chain reaction is a broad term we at http://theorderoftheironphoenix.com use to describe the disintegration of a nuclear reactor to the point where the coolant can no longer keep the radioactive isotopes cool and the factory goes into “meltdown” mode, resulting in a colossal explosion.

A bit of background: As the eras have progressed, nuclear reactors have created more energy and subsequently store and produce more than one million Hiroshima or Nagasaki bombs combined.

Moving on, one of these explosions would simply result in an “atomic crater” with the force of the explosion moving across geographical obstacles such as mountains and valleys at the speed of light. So, this will stop eventually right? WRONG! Do you ever wonder why in action movies, when one car blows up, tons of other poor commoners in other cars get blown to bits as well? Well, it’s because of the heat, not the explosion. The heat causes their gas tanks to rapture resulting in the burning of their natural gas contained within their vehicles.

How does this relate to the concept of nuclear chain reaction? Well, the cloud of heat and atomic particles resulting from the first blast will definitely be enough to hit another power plant (even if it’s thousands of miles away) , and that plant will explode, thus it’s particles will blast in all directions and you will have a chain reaction throughout the continental north America.

Lets compare it to dominoes shall we? Lets say your sipping tea in Rhode Island. As the poor noob at the bottom of the chain, we can call you the final domino. And lets just say your watching television ok? And there is breaking news about some far away reactor in California. And your like “pfft sucks to be there” , well, that reactor will be the “first domino”. And so your just sitting there watching those poor suckers over in California and all of a sudden the broadcast goes black( as the explosion will destroy everything within 100 mile radius) and radiation is spewing out violently in every direction. Well, seconds later you are vaporized.  This is because you “the final domino” have been knocked down by the forced chain reaction of the first atomic explosion.

atomic_explosion

Now lets go on and tell you that unfortunately, the us is one of many countries that relies on atomic energy. Now do you see the big picture? Its blatantly obvious that this doomsday-like scenario is very possible. And guess what, not a plant would be able to populate the earth for a few hundred thousand years after such an event.

As we have urged you all before, anyone that reads this, is now aware of the dangers of what is all around them. There is a high chance of something like this occurring. Unstable isotopes cannot be controlled once they decide to spontaneously combust. And imagine the pain and suffering of the world? Ask yourself: would you play with fire?

How the peace sign is embedded in war

Wednesday, June 20th, 2012

The peace sign is really represented in 2 fashions. The first is the actual sign , rooted in pagan practice and roman polytheistic rhetoric.

peace_sign

This is a symbol of raw power from the 5th century  in ancient rome

The original peace sign lacked the circle around it. It was called a “Nero’s cross” and would often be used by Roman Legionnaires as brooches and insignias on their shields to show their enemies that resistance was futile and anyone that resisted would be crucified. This was literally the case in the famed legend of the many excursions into Judea. There, Christ was crucified by soldiers of the Nero cross. So how did something like this become a peace sign? Well , that we cant tell you for sure.

Nero’s Cross

Lets move on to the second form of peace that we can recognize as a symbol of peace. After all, aren’t symbols worth a million words?

The second symbol that comes to mind is definitely the V shape with the pointer and middle finger! Yes, this is reminiscent of the hippie era right? Getting high off bongs and chilling all day, screw war, screw political ideology, nothing better than relaxing all day.

Typical Hippie

But did you know that this was the most famous symbol for continuing the withering war effort of Great Britain against Nazi Germany?

Keep fighting chaps

Indeed, the famous Winston Churchill himself came up with this one. He called it his “V for victory” And every time a city would get bombed, he would be there, in the rubble, giving this famous symbol. Rather than using it to promote peace, Churchill simply used it to keep his people in the mood to continue the war -which at this point every citizen of London had lost 1 or more significant others-.

And the cream of the cake

And the cream of the cake

Conclusion: everything appears to be rooted in violence. Perhaps psychologically this became a symbol for peace because it brought people together, in hopes of besting the cause. Not caving against overwhelming odds, and simply chilling while your cities burn, after all material matter is meaningless without company right? We for one wouldn’t have minded meeting Churchill in person. He sounds like a really interesting guy.

Game Of Thrones George W Bush’s head on a spike

Sunday, June 17th, 2012

Did you know that the awesome and epically entertaining HBO production “Game Of Thrones” placed a replica of George W. Bush’s head on a spike in the first season? Well, we for one did not catch this (even though we love this series). Indeed, it’s rather hard to not miss ,but we got this image from another website.

Un,Russia and China begin mobilization into Syria

Saturday, June 16th, 2012

It might sound utterly absurd, but early today, a Russian cargo ship arrived in Syria carrying troops and weapons. We cant say for sure what they intend to do there other than safeguard their major seaport. Furthermore, China is refusing pleas by the UN to come in and sort out the chaos. As people that are only speculating, it looks like a repeat of Vietnam-Iraq and Afghanistan -Syria. Tensions are certainly on the rise, despite lack of coverage by our news broadcasters, there is an uneasy feeling throughout the world, an eerie gathering tempest to be exact.

Oregon man gets plague after taking mouse from a cat’s mouth

Saturday, June 16th, 2012

You heard it right an oregon man was trying to save some poor mouse from a cat’s mouth and the mouse bit him. Hell, he was probably pretty smart because the cat also bit him. And go figure, the man gets the 200 year old bubonic plague! All we can say about this is that clearly this man is a noob when it comes to handling a wild mouse.

Should you be scared? Well, considering the fact that 74% of Europe was destroyed by this, there is reason for you to believe that this could be the apocalyptic virus.

The banana contradicts popular belief

Tuesday, June 12th, 2012

Ok so do you remember when you where just a child and you had your first banana? It probably tasted pretty damn good right? Then you got to college and bananas remind you of something else? Something like this:

So, you probably are thinking “gee this thing is perfect for reproducing”. I mean honestly, how can something like that not be full of seeds right? Well you would be DEAD WRONG. So, the sad reality is that the banana is poor at reproducing. With nearly 75% of all bananas being consumed before they reach the ground, the chances for success already are about 25%. Lets also bear in mind that the banana is high in natural sugar , which decompose very quickly. Usually any leftover banana seeds decompose with the fruit or are eaten by scavengers. And have you wondered what a banana seed looks like? Well, it’s one of those pesky macroscopic black dots you see when you cut a banana in half vertically. Yes, it’s very sad to know that the sexiest fruit in the world may be going extinct.  But what in nature wouldn’t want a bite of such a sweet and curvy fruit?

From Dictatorship to Democracy : A handbook to crush democracy

Tuesday, June 12th, 2012

We recently read Gene Sharp’s book “From Dictatorship To Democracy” after reading about the massive revolutions occurring throughout north Africa and the middle east.  With the whole mumbo jumbo going on in Syria right now, We had to really re-read this book. Again, the thing that peaked our interest was an article written by a Stanford international relations major on how “peaceful protesting” was the wave of the future.

dicatotrshiptodemocsharp

We will sum up the entire book by telling you that peaceful protests cannot be crushed by military might without repercussions from the international community. After all, isn’t this the reason why Yugoslavia fell? And the reason why Un invaded Serbia? Is it not because of peaceful protest that Gaddafi was ousted? And the list simply goes on (although gene sharp really wrote this book with Vietnam in mind).

So lets look at this from the opposite side: what if a dictator where to read this book? And what if they actually took the time to literate themselves and see that violence was not a possible solution to crush popular demand? It was funny to us because If you (you should by the way) read this book, you can take every word and reverse it. You can literally use it as a handbook on “how to be a dictator”. We just think this book is absurdly ridiculous and its paradoxical how easy it would be for a simple commoner to take this book and use it against his own people. Not that we would in any way like to see this happen. In case you are intrusted in seeing what we mean, we might write a book on this subject. In the mean time why not read the book yourself to get a rough idea?
