Why is my turning signal blinking like three or four times faster than usual?
The reason for this "strange" behavior is actually not a "malfunction". On the contrary, all cars created after 1980 have this "defense mechanism" , which activates when one bulb on one side of your car burns out, not allowing the circuit to go into "full motion".

To sum things up, whichever direction it does this in, you have a "burned out" turning signal bulb, and it's time to replace it
