Barbecue Veggies Barbecue Veggies

Being a vegetarian can be tough. You go to restaurants and the menus are limited, you go to fast food places and all you can have is fries. Life is tough, and we all dread going to family barbecues, where our meat-eating friends and family nibble on tasty, seasoned meats while we nibble grass in the corner. Well no more, here is a guide of things you can barbecue to feel less "left out" during your next barbecue as a vegetarian!

1.Eggplant

Eggplants are an extremely common supplement for meat. Just look at any menu and you will likely find eggplant parmesan, and roasted eggplant in almost every restaurant. Eggplant is always a fallback for the traditional vegetarian. It can be cooked by placing it directly onto the barbecue or be cooked indirectly in coals after being wrapped in foil. Either way, it comes out delicious, add some barbecue sauce and you have more than just a "salad".

2.Corn

Barbecued corn is on the menu for more than just vegetarians. Corn is a staple of the grilling world that meat eaters and non-meat eaters can share. It is delicious, you can add salt or anything else your heart desired. You can also cut it off the cobs and mix it around to make it more appetizing, especially if you don't like corn cellulose caught in your teeth.

3. Potato

Potatoes are a staple internationally for a reason. Potatoes are high in starches and carbs, which help you feel full. Barbecuing potatoes directly on the grill or indirectly in foil wrap, thrown in coals both come out delicious! Barbecued potatoes with a hint of Himalayan salt, some sour cream, and some chopped chives or green onions. You too can enjoy yourself instead of nibbling grasses in the corner.
