KRCR Reporter Attacked

The scene of a massive fentanyl overdose that sent 12 people to the hospital and left 1 dead is once again in the spotlight. According to recent reports, the Chico, California location had been under investigation by local authorities as a local station, KRCR, sent a reporter to cover the situation.

Following a brief setup, the reporter was attacked by an unidentified female at the scene, receiving punches, kicks, and a slamming to the ground. The reporter was later identified as Meaghan Mackey.

Police acted immediately, separating the individuals. There is no news on Mackey's condition that has been made available to the public. Police incident reports indicate that "multiple individuals were arrested" following the incident.
